    The Oasis D1 season finale  pattern contest at Jackson, NJ is 
anticipated to be overwhelmed by hurricane, or remnants of, Hanna on 
Saturday, September 6.   Sunday's weather forecast is projecting to be 
better, but we are uncertain to what extent Hanna will clear out..
    Therefore, here is the plan.  We will not attempt to fly any rounds 
on Saturday due to weather forecasting a combination of heavy rain, 
strong winds, potential wind gusts above 39 mph, and scattered 
thunderstorms.  We will re-assess the weather situation Sunday morning, 
convene for a pilots meeting at 8:30 AM, and then decide how to 
proceed.  I suspect if the wind is tolerable on Sunday, we should be 
able to get three rounds in.

    The zip-code for Lakehurst, NJ  area is 08733 for those who want to 
follow along on weather.com <http://weather.com> or other online weather 
services.

    For those that are members of ECIM, http://www.ecim.net/, you have 
an option to do some indoor flying at the nearby Hanger 1 on the Navy 
facility on Saturday. Non-ECIM members will most likely not be allowed 
onto the Navy facility to go fly within Hanger 1.
