Oh man, that's a bummer. Well then don't forget about the Conyngham, PA contest in 2 weeks. A bunch of us are going. Take a long weekend. You deserve it. You've been working too hard. You already missed one contest! :)

Yup it was a crosswind. Blowing out. Lotsa fun. No airplanes were lost due to pilot error - just one because of an equipment failure (elevator malfunction). The more you fly in the wind, the better you get...

Funny thing is I make the schedule. Guess I wasn't thinking much about contests at the end of March. Of course if that wind was a cross wind as it sounds, my flying would have been pretty ugly. Bad enough with the wind right down the runway :)

Come on, you could have gotten in a few rounds. We were all done flying by around 4PM. "Work" is no excuse for missing a contest! <LOL> I remember watching Joe Z. fly in his tuxedo once - he had to be at a gig (he's a professional musician) that same day but he still wanted to get the last round in. He didn't even stick around to get his plaque because he had to head to "work" as soon as the plane was in the van.

The wind was pretty cool. Planes were landing with almost a 45 degree crab angle AND dropping the upwind wing just to stay on the runway. Fun!!!

Unfortunately I had to work at 5. I like 1 day contests. Easier to get approval from the boss.
Are results posted anywhere?

I would also like to thank Rick and the club for hosting the contest. I hope you are right Rick about the winds being the worst of the season and it can only get better. JEZ
