aspects with old and new friends.

Back in 1969 My local club in Lafayette, LA hosted it’s first pattern contest combined with a control line contest. We called it Model Aviation day. We went all out and had PHI fly in a Bell “J” model helicopter for exhibition and NASA
trucked in the Mercury space capsule as an exhibit. It was awesome. I reached out to NASA to try and get a static exhibit like that for this event. Unfortunately I was too late making the request and was told requests need to be sent in 12 weeks in advance.
Sorry guys, I just thought about it too late for this year. But I tried. Even with a little inside help 6 weeks just wasn’t enough time to process my request. Maybe next year.
