<p dir="ltr">The subject of compensation came up both years when I was president, but was voted down by the board. My personal opinion was in favor of compensation, but many BoD members felt that judging was part of competing. Of course, our Nats attendance numbers were higher, so the problem was less evident. Bob's analysis is right on the mark given our current attendance. I think it is time to revisit that decision.</p>
<p dir="ltr">One thing that we need to look at is why our Nats attendance is dropping fairly rapidly. I think publishing Don Szczur's letter in the kfactor, and perhaps handing it out at local contests could help that. For various reasons I've had to miss the last 3 Nats, but Don's letter reminded me of what I've missed.</p>

The only thing I can say is thank you for your service.<br><br>This should not be the NATS Event Director's problem.
