<div class="">Most of the suitable greases are only sold in large quantities for
industrial customers. Shell Stamina RL2 has been the grease of choice for Hacker
gearboxes in the US for years, various folks have purchased 12 tube cartons and
sold their excess – maybe someone will offer some for sale. The Stamina is
discontinued and replaced by Shell Gadus S3 T100 2 (S2 V100 2 is also OK).
Amazon lists the latter for $7/12 oz., but shipping from the UK is $27.
Sometimes these show up on eBay also.</div>
<div class=""> </div>
<div class="">There are other suitable brands, the trick is finding the right specs, most
grease companies provide a spec sheet of their products. For the Hacker
gearboxes NLGI Grade 2 is the best thickness, look for a lithium based PAO
synthetic designed for high speed / low load applications with a temp range of
100C+ if you choose to go this route. </div>

<div dir="ltr" class="">Does anyone know exactly what grease Hacker is selling for their
gear boxes, and a source for larger quantities? ? I understand that many use the
Rheolube, but I'm also told that's not exactly the same stuff. Looking for
a more cost effective source than $10 / 2ml.</div><div class="">
