Then plug them into an ordinary 117v, 250 watt heat lamp. <BR>From a discharged state, a few hours seems to kill them totally. Lamp gets warm not hot. </DIV>

<DIV id=AppleMailSignature>Actually best bet is to bring them to one of those battery stores, they generally take any battery for recycling. Supposedly you can also discharge them in a saltwater bath and then just throw them out. Apparently they are safe in a landfill, I guess as long as they are discharged.<BR>

One pack was involved in a mid air. Both those packs are badly damaged. I really don't know how to get rid of them. I also have 10 fully charged 10s packs in my workshop.
