There are advantages and not to most, personal preference and correction factors play a role. Anyway, I stumbled into what I’ve found to be best for me for flying by selecting lenses for everyday use. These are Transitions Xtra Active grey (available in brown or green also) with Crizal Sapphire non-glare coating (tried Avance version & didn’t like). Oh, and these are also blended bifocals (Varilux?). These are all I wear now for everyday and flying, best airplane vision I’ve had in years and the glare reduction is great for night driving.
