<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff">For those interested in or have the 18SZ radio, Futaba released a software update this week taking the iteration to 1.4E. There are several changes and fixes that this update provides.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff">1.) Added back the "Spline" Curve in AFR that was missing from this radio on release.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff">2.) Added the ability to move points in the "Point" Curve in AFR anywhere along the X-axis. Prior to 1.4, you could add a point but that point would solely be in the middle of two existing points which made transition slightly abrupt between points.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff">3.) Added the ability to select the Stick Mode (Mode 1, Mode 2, etc) in the software and on the screen.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff">4.) Throttle Stick Alarm - Essentially gives you a function to alert you to a specific position of the throttle stick similar to the beep you hear when your control surface trims are at dead center on most radios.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff">5.) Compatibility with the SBS-01C Current sensor which has the capability to measure current, voltage and capacity of the drive motor</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff">6.) SD Card icon added so that you will know when you're flying a model in internal memory or external / SD Card memory.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff">There are a couple other changes such at the "Butterfly Elevator Curve" and dual RX T-FHSS choice is inhibited. I found the update incredibly simple. Unzip the update from Futaba's website and place the "Futaba" folder on an SD card from PC or MAC machines. Remember that, if you had a folder named "Futaba" already on the SD card, it will overwrite the data. You may have models already stored on there. Insert the SD card in the radio and hold down the "Home" button and then turn on the TX. The update process begins and is finished within a minute or two. Once completed, turn off the radio and back on again. You can verify the version in the software once completed.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff">I've found these changes to be very helpful, especially #2. </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff">Scott</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div><div class="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><b style="color:rgb(51,51,255)"><font style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="4">Scott A.
