<DIV>It depends mostly on which ESC you have. Refer back to Earl's post.
It's very simple to set up to get a consistent throttle response for the
entire flight. Earls post and the link that he shared get you there
easily. Also, as Earl pointed out, savings in mAh are highly dependent
on your existing habits going into this exercise. More than anything,
it's about achieving very good throttle consistency with reduced pilot
workload. Saving some battery and being able to configure to always ace
the noise test *legally* are additional benefits that fall out of the throttle
leveling algorithm.</DIV>

<DIV>What programming / use do you have for your gear switch? If
it is as I suspect, TT is still working as intended.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Earl is spot on. My concept for TT was not for saving mah,
but reducing the power differential between the start and end of the
flight. TT has pretty close to no effect on the mah per flight I
use.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Increasing the compensation factor reduces the peak power
available and keeps the power level more constant deeper into a
discharge. Reducing the compensation factor increases the peak
power available with greater likelihood of the power dropping off
deeper into the discharge. Of course this assumes a reasonably
healthy setup to begin with.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>With Castle ESCs, I'd suggest any setups that seem to benefit
from less than 15 or more than 25 for compensation factor are less
than optimal setups and could be more efficient with a change in
props, kv, batteries, etc.</DIV>
