Ihncheol is correct; they are very inexpensive.<div><br></div><div>The biggest problem I have seen with using 4-cell lipo packs with starters is when pilots keep the starter running for a long time if the engine won’t start. The Kavan starter is more tolerant than some others, but they too will be damaged by long term continuous running. If the engine won’t start after about five seconds, running it longer seldom causes kit to start. Look for what’s causing the problem.</div><div><br></div><div>Ron Van Putte</div><div><br></div><div><div><div>On Sep 25, 2014, at 7:37 PM, Park, Ihncheol via NSRCA-discussion <<a href="mailto:nsrca-discussion@lists.nsrca.org">nsrca-discussion@lists.nsrca.org</a>> wrote:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><blockquote type="cite"><div lang="EN-US" link="blue" vlink="purple" style="font-family: ArialMS; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: auto; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;"><div class="WordSection1" style="page: WordSection1;"><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: rgb(31, 73, 125);">Peter,<o:p></o:p></span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: rgb(31, 73, 125);"> </span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: rgb(31, 73, 125);">That costs over a $100.00<o:p></o:p></span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: rgb(31, 73, 125);">I can get the Kavan starter parts from Sig Manufacturing. You may be able to replace the brushes and clean the commutator and get by with that. What I found when I used the Kavan was that an annual teardown and good cleaning and greasing the gears kept it in top performance. I ran mine on two 7.4 v ni-cad RC car batteries in series. With 14.5 volts on hand it easily turned even my OS 1.60. When it finally gave up, the commutator ring was worn down too much to use any more and I scraped it. <br><br>Sent from my iPhone<o:p></o:p></div></div><div><div><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 12pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br>On Sep 25, 2014, at 3:42 PM, Ihncheol Park via NSRCA-discussion <<a href="mailto:nsrca-discussion@lists.nsrca.org" target="_blank" style="color: purple; text-decoration: underline;">nsrca-discussion@lists.nsrca.org</a>> wrote:<o:p></o:p></p></div><blockquote style="margin-top: 5pt; margin-bottom: 5pt;"><div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; background-color: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif;">Ok.
