we have received a lot of input from the membership about the Advanced
sequence proposed for 2015. To everyone who has, a big thanks, we
really need this in order to develop sequences that meet the
expectations of the majority of the membership. I would add, it is very
helpful when these inputs are specific, not just "I don't like it".
Much of the criticism about this sequence was in two areas, difficulty
and new maneuvers, let me address each.

maneuvers to be created. The list of maneuvers in the development guide
is not meant to be exhaustive. Each time we develop new schedules, new
ones are created or borrowed from other disciplines, like F3A or even
do I dare say, IMAC LOL! In this proposed sequence, there are a few
maneuvers that were previously not in the catalog, like the Immelman
with full rolls, the Hour Glass or the Cobra as we defined. As along at
these are in line with class guidelines and it's felt they are
appropriate, they are added to the list of allowable maneuvers.
Specifically, the Hour Glass was added because we all felt it was
appropriate, and a variant of that maneuver is now in Masters and
F3A-P. So as you will see, we left it in.

enough pilots indicate concern, that we took another look. In doing so,
we realized that we had exceeded some of the boundaries set forth in
the Advanced section. The guide has been a living breathing document
for the past few cycles, so we could have modified the guide to allow
for this sequence, but it was felt this was the wrong approach. Now,
for the next cycle, we will be recommending some changes to the guide
(for BOD approval) which would allow more flexibility, however for now,
we are modifying the sequence to adhere to the guidelines.
Specifically, there are only limited number of inverted entries and
exits, on turn around maneuvers, executed at a low altitude. You will
see in the new sequence, we simply added and removed rolls, which
brought the number of inverted sections in line. The basic structure
and class of each maneuvers, are really unchanged.
