    What's the radio? Has it had a s/w update recently?<br>
    Would recommend that your throttle cut position is at least as low
    as the lowest setting you can acheive with idle switching and the
    trim lever.&nbsp; Keep in mind that doing this may require you to toggle
    throttle cut in the event of a low voltage cutoff in order to
    restore throttle authority but you will never fail to arm when you
    turn on with the throttle cut active.<br>

      <div dir="ltr">OK, the problem is solved, but not the mystery

        <div>I have an idle down set that engages the brake on landing
          and a throttle cut that won't let the motor respond at all
          until it is disengaged. &nbsp;These are on separate switches. &nbsp;My
          normal start up sequence is plug in, listen for the proper
          Castle music, turn off the brake, disengage the throttle cut,
          spin the motor up, and take off.</div>
        <div><br>
        </div>
        <div>I put a normal servo on the throttle, replacing the ESC and
          tried a couple of different combinations of brake and throttle
          cut on/off. &nbsp;The throttle cut position was NOT lower than the
          brake. &nbsp;Also, the brake moved more when toggled between the
          two positions than I thought it would. &nbsp;I did notice that with
          brake on though and throttle cut off, the trim was at the
          lowest position.</div>
        <div><br>
        </div>
        <div>I hooked up the ESC again an plugging in the batteries with
          the normal starting positions (brake on, throttle cut on), the
          ESC did not arm. &nbsp;I turned off the throttle cut and this time
          left the brake on. &nbsp;The trim went to the lowest position and
          the ESC armed. &nbsp;I was able to spin th motor. &nbsp;The throttle cut
          did not stop the motor if it was already spinning, although
          throttle did not respond. &nbsp;With the brake switch off, the idle
          was quite high. &nbsp;This was not the way things were at the end
          of the last season. &nbsp;I lowered the % throw for the brake and
          throttle cut until I got the settings where I wanted them to
          be and all is back to "normal" now, including my start up

          place?</div>
        <div><br>
        </div>
        <div>The only difference between this season and last season was
          I replaced the airplanes battery system with a redundant one
