to do this E-160 project with readily available sport equipment using an E-Flite

is still out on the most desirable prop. I’m trying to closely match the
vertical I had with the OS-160 powered version of the same airplane. I’m
presently running either an 18-12 or 19-10 Falcon E- wood. The motor would
happily turn more prop but I found I was often chasing a runaway on up lines. What
I think I’d like is a 19-11, 20-11 was more than necessary peaking amperage in
the high 60’s. I’m running mid 50’s maximum A with averages in the low 20’s,
only slightly warming the batteries.<o:p></o:p></span></font></span></p>

surprise was the different flight between my local 2300 ft 90-95 degree 15
%humidity compared to high humidity low altitude flying west of the Cascade mountain
range. Adding pitch helped immensely, reminded me of the pre-turnaround days
running piped 61’s where I also added pitch when going to the coast. It appears
that tuned exhaust and E-power both offer near constant power regardless of oxygen
content and the added drag of thick air presented slower flight speed relative
to familiar throttle stick positions. E-power will take some time to master and
I’m committed to total conversion.<o:p></o:p></span></font></span></p>

Thanks Mark for suggesting Hobby People early in my E-160 project. The<br>
4500's dropped the weight to 10lb 3oz with wood prop. I'm getting through<br>
the masters sequence with a recharge between 2000 and 2400 mah.<br>

and good power. Unfortunately they've stopped making the 5000

530gm listing is for those... they clearly never change the weight listing<br>
when they moved to 4500 packs. The 4500's have ranged from 440gms to

500gms at the heaviest. I think for most they will be
great. For flying<br>
FAI I'm concerned I'm running them too hard as I often take 4000 out of them<br>
on a windy day, and sometimes more flying the F pattern.<br>
