<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I've recovered a couple of LiPo packs for
people. What I do is place the battery in a safe place (LiPO sack,
crock pot, etc) connect it to the charger without using the balance board.
I then set the charger to NiCad and the charge rate to 0.1C. Then I
carefully monitor the voltage until it rises above 3 volts per cell. Then,
I stop the NiCad charge and then finish charging with the normal Lipo
balance setting.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV style="RIGHT: auto"> I have a brand new test pack that I gave to my
best friend aptly named "Puff Daddy" who tests for us. He's a
great resource because he beats the living crude out of Lipo's so you can
feel assured that your doing well if PD is succesful with them.</DIV>
<DIV style="RIGHT: auto"> We'll PD did himself very proud last week and
discharged the 2 packs on the first attempt to 0 voltage<VAR

<DIV style="RIGHT: auto"> So how can I get some voltage into the packs so
the charger can attempt to recover them? I know it's not going to be a text
book operation but I'm willing to roll some dice to see if there is a way. One
guy suggested using a nicad charger to pump in some juice.</DIV>
<DIV style="RIGHT: auto"> At this point barring an exposion risk I have
little to lose.</DIV>
<DIV style="RIGHT: auto"> So any suggestions? TIA, Mike</DIV>
