color:#1F497D'>I use Wayne’s method (found the original info on Bob’s
site when it was up) with one minor change: I found some machine screws with a
large head at Home Depot. I think they’re called “truss-head”
screws. Yes they are slightly heavier (not much I think it’s only about 1~2
grams) than a standard pan-head screw but I like the idea of having more surface
area in that area especially when attaching to carbon-fiber gear legs. I use this
method on all of my Pattern planes now. Haven’t had a failure yet
although my planes are by no means “overweight”. LOL<o:p></o:p></span></p>
