FAMILY="SANSSERIF" PTSIZE="10">As version three upgrade has been out for some
time, your transmitter may have the latest firmware. Take a look at the TX
SETTING menu in the system list. In the upper right corner is listed the
software version. On mine which is a DMS2 and updated to version three, it is
0001-0103. If you don't fly sailplanes with V-tails or helicopters or don't
use the trainer function with Spektrum transmitters as slaves, you won't need
the present upgrades. If you go ahead with the upgrading, you will only need
the last version as it incorporates the previous versions.

The
instructions for upgrading and link to download the upgrade can be found at
http://www.horizonhobby.com/pdf/JRP1100_SDCard_Firmware_Addendum-10-06-10.pdf

The transmitter is persnickety about which SD card is used. Some
brands don't work. JR recommends no larger than 2GB. Some people have reported
using a larger card successfully. Considering how small the upgrades and model
memories are, 1GB is sufficient. They have their own brand if you can't get an
off-the-counter one to work. I'm using a 2GB card made by
Kodak.

Allan

In a message dated 7/18/2012 1:52:56 AM Central
