<DIV><FONT face=Arial>I tend to agree. I've used data logging extensively to
study various aspects of pattern maneuvers and airplane performance using
EagleTree equipment. I've not used their telemetry feature, nor desired to. As
you note - there's enough to do flying the airplane without trying to digest
data. My current radio has telemetry capabilities and, while a low voltage
alarm on the RX pack and/or motor pack is nice, it's not very useful for pattern
as we generally fly a sequence and land. I suppose the low motor pack
voltage alarm is a good thing for the E guys that fly until the motor stops. For
the RX pack data to be useful the connection needs to be made before the
regulator, which adds to complexity - again most pattern guys don't push these
packs to the limit either.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial>If the telemetry data is stored in the TX for later
analysis I would find it useful - eliminates the need for the ET logger. OTOH -
compare ET sensor prices to those of the radio guys. I see the telemetry being
offered mostly as a marketing "feature" - nice to talk about but not providing
much value. </FONT></DIV>
