<div>RE: the changes that NASCAR. NFL and baseball make. Every one of the changes has unintended consequences, which is why they are continually tweaking the rules. And everytime they tweak them, more unintended consequences occur. The rules are so complicated that even the commentators have a hard time figuring out what is going on a lot of the time. </div>

<div>I'm a recent convert to electric. I've got a box stock Vanquish on which I used all stock hardware, except for the tail wheel assembly (no weight change), and the wheel axles, (slight weight reduction). With cheap batteries, I was able to come in two ounces lighter than 11lbs. If I can do it with the cheapest airframe currently on the market, what problem are we trying to fix? And look at the influx of electric planes at the Nats, even in lower classes. They have to make weight, even if it was a couple of ounces heavier this past year, and I didn't hear anyone complaining. We seem to be dealing with a perceived problem, that would only manifest itself at the Nats, because weight is not measured elsewhere. </div>

<div>I join Dave Lockhart in asking if the Board is going to respect precendent, and back off of endorsing changes without clear a clear majority in the voting of the members.<br>

<div class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: ; FONT-SIZE: 11pt">Why are folks buying top of the line 2m planes and then replacing the wings with built up wings. I know they snap better but that is not the only reason they are also trying to make weight.</SPAN></div>

<div class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: ; FONT-SIZE: 11pt">Sure some will try to put even larger electric motors, glow motors or even gas motors in their 2 meters.  But eventually we will get to the point where the wing loading will get too large and the planes won’t fly well. Also we will get to the point where the planes will have too much power for what we are asking them to do.</SPAN></div>
