<div>When we first started flying electric pattern about the only charger available was the AstroFlight AF109. It only handled a maximum of 9 cells so we split the packs into 2 5S and charged them seperately. When the ThunderPower 1010C with an external charger was announced, it was jumped on because of the 10S capability as well as the balancers. They worked well except the balancers which had a tendency to throw errors when they got too hot, but all in all they were a big step up from the AF109 for convenience as well as safety with the balancers. When the FMA CellPro was announced with an internal balancer, it was a logical next step to address the balancing issues with the 1010C/balancer combo. The Cellpro works well, is pretty intuitive to use so a lot of us bought them and stayed with them for a few years now. There were other choices like Hyperion, iCharger, etc, but the Cellpros seemed to fit with pattern so a lot of use them.</div>

<div>I'm a PowerLab 8 guy myself. 40 amps of parallel charging power, will handle as many batteries as you have connectors. <br>

<div>So I'll preface this by saying I was flying large + hv packs before I was flying pattern, so my charging gear preceded my pattern involvement and therefore I seem to be the odd man out when it comes to my charging gear -- I'm running an iCharger 3010 charger (1000W max charge power, up to 30Amps, 10S) for my larger packs, and an iCharger 208b (350w max, 8S, 20 amps) off a meanwell SE-1000-24 1000watt/24volt power supply. I'm thinking about upgrading the 208b to something capable of handling a second 10s pack for charging two simultaneously. Another 3010 is an obvious choice for me, but I'm wondering why everyone in the pattern community likes the CellPro 10S (can't handle 24 volts, but the XP can) so much, specs don't tell the whole story or the 3010 would be an obvious winner...

<div>So, why do y'all like the CellPro? Anyone using something other than the Cellpro or the iCharger to do 10S? what drove your choice?</div>
