I’d suggest some sort of grinding stone that’s smaller than the bore so you don’t alter the rest of the bore. BY HAND (no Dremel), you should be able to smooth out the nick. I’d go just a few strokes at a time followed by a cleaning, followed by inserting the follower (lifter) to see if you got out the nick.
