The craziest among us keep a small dorm-sized fridge in the garage/workshop in which to store our LiPos in the off season. Or, I suppose, there are some folks in Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc. for whom the whole garage IS a frat-house sized fridge in the off-season :-)<div>

They have instructions for storing lipo batteries. Basically, the storage includes discharging to 50% capacity. Unless you have a direct short to the leads, it’s highly unlikely a pack would ignite. The danger point on lipo batteries comes when they are over-charged, over-discharged, or shorted out. The colder you can keep the batteries above freezing, the better.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
