The faster the FETS turn on/off, the more efficient and the less heat, but really fast switching times cause all sorts of EMI so the designers usually slow down the switching to mitigate this. During the switching interval, the higher the voltage, the more loss (heat). At least that is how I understand it. So it does not surprise me that it gets hotter with a higher voltage.</DIV>
