Stuart,
Thanks for the explanation.
We changed our date because of a conflict with the air show in Oshkosh which many of our fliers attend.
I just wanted to get a quick note out to everyone so that their long range plans wouldn't be affected.
The dates of contests that appear in the K-Factor are based on
whatever has been entered in the NSRCA.US calendar. One of the
features that we thought would be beneficial was the fact that
yearly events could be set up with yearly repeat rules.
Unfortunately if the CD or district web person does not check to see
if the dates are correct this year then the wrong dates will be
published. If a contest always starts on the second Saturday in
July but this year the club needed the field that weekend and the
contest was pushed to the week after then the dates will be wrong
unless they are modified. The district web person could do that or
someone on the webteam if we were informed. The Fat lake contest
was set on a repeating schedule of every 12 months which obviously
will not provide the correct date. The reason that the AMA calendar
is correct is that the contest has to be requested each year with
them.

So what seemed like a nice idea (repeating event rules) has turned
into an issue. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a simple way
to turn off the repeating rules section of the contest entry form.
We are now looking into a fix for this. If anyone knows of a web
program that would fit our needs please let the web team know. We
are working on several options. Unfortunately modifying repeating
events for this year also changes the prior dates so last years
contest results listings will be effected.

Our goal is to correct this aberrant behavior and still provide a
central place (main web site) for all districts contest listings,
and contest results.

Hopefully we will have a fix in the next few weeks.
For some reason the K-Factor put down the wrong date for this
years "Fat Lake Pattern Rendezvous" in Peoria, IL.
It is NOT in July but rather the 13 & 14 of August.
This years "Fat Lake" will also sponsor the D4/D5 Shootout, so
check your calenders.
