I don't think you'd be able to mount a hatch latch in the normal position at the top rear of the canopy if you're using the canalizer that comes on a C-2. The other ones eith have a pin that's too short or spring tension that's too soft or too hard. I'm building a Xigres as well and it'll have the red latch in it. The front will have two, 1/8" aluminum pins and I'll have either one or two lite ply tabs from the bottom of the canopy that slide into slots cut into the flange on the fuse that the canopy sits on. The tabs are there to keep the canopy from moving from side to side.
