Both have the same featues as the 14mz except color screen, mp3 player and number of proportional channels. Biggest difference between the FG and Z is the case and gimbels. Features are essentially identical and both are software upgradeable. </div><div><br></div><div>The 12z uses the same gimbels as the 14mz whereas the 12 FGs arent as nice. Both have servo grouping which is nice for your IMAC stuff. <p class="MsoNormal">I am currently using a Futaba 9zap WC2 with a 2.4
module.<span style=""> </span>I am thinking about changing my
transmitter to something more current. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The problem I face is that I use many of the functions in the WC2
and I don’t want to lose any of them with out spending a large amount of money
on a Futaba 14mz.<span style=""> </span>They are many
transmitters on the market that may work for me but I am having a hard time
find which transmitters have the functions I am looking for.<span style=""> </span>It is not as simple as asking in the local
hobby store, they don’t seam to understand how conditions are used for in a
fixed wing aircraft and the websites are not to clear and it’s not like I can
try them all! </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I’m sure they are many people on this list are familiar with
the use of conditions, ATV, Expo, duel rates, switch/stick assignment.<span style=""> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I’m looking at achieving the following conditions:</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><u>Regular flight</u></b>: </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Basic functions e.g. ATV, Expo, Ail diff, Rud to Ele, Rud to
Ali, P mixs, Ailvator. Timer (timer assigned to throttle starts above 5%) All these would
be copied into the other conditions and adjustments are made as followed.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><u>Spin condition:</u></b> Adjust ATV and Expo.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><u>Snap condition:</u></b> Adjust ATV, Expo and duel
rates turning on/off on throttle stick within the snap condition. I use this to
increase/decrease my control throws at the lower 10% of my throttle for down
line snaps.<span style=""> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><u>Hammer Condition:</u></b> Adjust ATV (including
throttle) and Expo.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><u>3D condition (IMAC): </u></b>Adjust ATV and Expo.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I like to have all my conditions assigned to two, 3 point
switches on the left side of the transmitter.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I case of flying a foamy I like to assign one, 3 point
switch to the left side for all the dual rates. (I hate haven to flick three
switches to change the rates for all three control surfaces) </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I have been looking at the following transmitters but I don’t
know what they have to offer, I hope someone can list what they do and don’t
have?</p>
