Do we really have to have judging recertification when sequences change? I say no. The applied criteria don't change unless there is a rule book change.

Do we have to have judging recertification when the rule book changes? I say yes or no depending on the degree of change.

But certifcation is always going to be needed for those who have never been certified.

Obviously this coming year we will all need recertification or certification. There have been massive changes.

The next question is. When are we going to finally get to the point where there is very little changed in the rule book ? With the rule book as it is written, probably not quite. As long as I can remember there have been changes constantly being made to the rule book.

Is it time for the ruie book to be overhauled and cleaned up to get to this point? I say probably. Sounds like a task for the Judging Committtee and the Contest Board combined.

There hasn't been any discussion on this at all. We could move in that direction with the next sequences that get approved for Sportsman, Intermediate and Advanced, but, as you mentioned, that would mean we only get to keep those sequences for 3 years. I'm not in favor of changing these again in 2012 - I think that is too soon.
