The only thing I do differently is specific to the brake settings.

The brake % is the ultimate strength of the brake (ie, how far down you pushing the brake pedal in the car).

The ramp is have long it takes the ESC to achieve the programmed brake strength (ie, how long it takes you to push the brake pedal in the car to the programmed strength).

The delay is how long the ESC waits before applying the brake (after throttle stick is reduced to zero), during which time period the motor will either spool down or up, depending on airspeed and attitude of the plane.

I prefer to use 0 delay and medium ramp...provides a slightly different "personality" for the brake in the way it engages, and it is less abrupt on the motor/prop/spinner, and far less likely to loosen the prop/spinner.

Pardon the obvious newbie question. I'm trying to do the final setup of my first e-symphony with a Phoenix HV85 and Pletty EVO outrunner. I connected to the ESC with a Castle Link and there are lots of settings available but I don't know what should be the best starting setup and I haven't seen any "settings files" from experienced people shared to help newbies get started. The factory defaults clearly will NOT work because I can see at least one setting that can't be right: PWM Switching Rate set to 12 kHz but there is an Outrunner Mode option available...
