of Masters pilots botch landings even on a calm day. I make a pretty good
living but I still can’t afford to ruin a fuse because it cracked in the
air or on landing. I have numerous landings throughout the year that I’m
concerned would ruin some of these electric only designs. What happens if
manufacturers start making kits to support heavier 30C batteries or 6000 mah
batteries if the sequences get longer. </span></font></p>

to build for next year. As I plan to go to the Nats next year I’ll make
sure the new one is legal weight. But, I’m not spending the $300-$400 it
will take to make the current one legal. If there are any contest in D2 or D3
that will weigh planes and disqualify me for being four ounces over let me know
so I can save the travel expense.</span></font></p>

this year, where weight was a factor in safety. The planes are built
plenty strong enough. Electrics are readily built in the low to mid 10 lb
range now with modern, electric only designs. As for landing gears, Dave
Lockhart is right; it is the design of the gear attachment problem, not a
weight issue. And pattern airplanes are about the easiest airplanes there
are to land anyway. If you can't land well enough to avoid tearing a gear
out, learn! As my Dad used to say, models are designed to fly, not
crash.</span></font></span></p>

Not really acceptable, in the FAI finals its a new contest, the top 4 going
into the finals, could be the bottom 4 after the finals. You need to
process everyone that is in the finals to ensure they are all legal, as there
is no way to predict the results.<br>

It would be sad if you processed the top 4 from the semi's, and during the
finals a 5th person made the team who was not processed, and was found to be
flying an illegal model.<br>
