probably correct. But if someone is caught flying, it could be a disaster
for modeling if the news people jump all over us not obeying laws with RC
airplanes that could be used as a weapon. What AMA argues is that this
normal flying activity goes on daily on known AMA sanctioned club fields all
over the country. We don’t have models that leave the flying site (at
least, not on purpose!) and we are NOT a threat to National
Security. Logic is not a strong point of the US

it is a real pain! Our AMA Governmental Affairs Rep Rich Hansen
has been working for over a year now trying to get approval for
exceptions for us model aircraft users, but our US Government (Secret
Service, Homeland Security) is hard to convince. They actually
have verbiage in the rules that says they are approved for “use of
deadly force” on any found not complying with the NOTAM!

field does fall within the 30 nmr TFR. Our field is 25 nm
