polyurethane glue. Lightly spray water on the balsa, smear the poly glue on the balsa and a light, even coat of glue on the plywood. Press everything together, lay a sheet of wax paper on a flat surface, set the firewall on the paper, cover with another sheet of wax paper, and stack a LOT of books on top. The poly glue will foam and penetrate the plywood, the weight is necessary to keep the plywood from being pushed away from the balsa by the foaming glue. The resulting structure is very light, very strong, and offers a wide gluing surface inside the fuselage.

My setup uses a Hyde mount, so I glued 3/32" plywood disks approximately 3/4" diameter to hold the
blind nuts on the backside of the fire wall. Nothing is needed on the front, the Hyde mount has a large back surface to spread the load.

I have been flying this in my YS160DZ powered Temptation for 4 seasons now without any problems.

Bob Kane
getterflash@yahoo.com

--- On Tue, 4/13/10, colin chariandy <cchariandy@yahoo.ca> wrote:

From: colin chariandy &<A href="http://ca.mc1126.mail.yahoo.com/mc/compose?to=lt%3Bcchariandy@yahoo.ca" rel=nofollow
