Typically you will have a lower latency if you go this route (quicker response). With the Futaba radios, like my 10C, you can use various FASST recievers without having to worry if they are 1024 (7ch or lower) or 2048 (8ch or higher). You only have to tell the transmitter which it is when you program a new model. With the native 2.4g Spektrum/JR you have the "model match" feature that you won't get if you buy a Spektrum module. And, to my knowledge, this is the only way to get more than 8 channels transmitted (I may be wrong)</SPAN></FONT></DIV></DIV>

You will be limited to 8 channels (with the TM-8 module) since this uses the PPM mode output of the transmitter. This module has a 7/8 channel switch that you have to change if you fly different planes with different receivers (1024 vs 2048). Very small switch, pain to change, and probably not made to change very often. I prefer the antenna on this to the Spektrum modules, and it is very easy to change back/forth with 72 MHz modules. I have a TM-8 module, but hardly use it anymore. I have migrated all my stuff over to my 10C radio.</SPAN></FONT></DIV></DIV>
