I think 900 would be really well actually but was asking here for backup, as it's only going to be 4.25 lbs give or take. Do you think he would need more than 200 watts per pound for Intermediate and Advanced? Heck, my 14XL's (Well, 14XL now, RIP) barely give me that.</DIV>

<DIV style="MARGIN: 0px">Probably needs 900-1100 watt range. As far as Dualsky is concerned, the XM4250CA or XM4260CA size motors would probably work. These motors will handle 11x6 to 15x8 props depending on battery cell count. How much prop clearance will he have? What pack config, 4S, 5S, 6S?</DIV>

There is a guy on RC Groups flying the Helios 63e plane with a Scorpion 4020-12 on the equivalent of a 5S Lipo and says it has way more power than he needs. So, a 4S might be about right.</DIV>

Any suggestions for him? It is supposed to weigh 4.25 lbs all up. I have some suggestions but thought I'd ask here for some more.</DIV>
