The difference is that if it is not an inverter generator it has to run at full speed to maintain 60 cycles. An inverter generator will run at the speed required to provide the required current. Anouther thing is the sound insulation. The generator you mention looks like it is open so will be noisey. In this case you get what you pay for. If you can live with the noise then it is a great price. We use Yamaha 1000Ui for our stuff. It is quiet and very economical and because the output is a square wave the electronics are protected. <br><br>Dennis </span><br><br><hr><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma; font-weight:bold">From: </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma; font-weight:normal;">ed skorepa <edskorepa@q.com></span><br><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma; font-weight:bold">Sent: </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma; font-weight:normal;">Wednesday, December 23, 2009 9:23 PM</span><br><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma; font-weight:bold">To: </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma; font-weight:normal;">General pattern discussion <nsrca-discussion@lists.nsrca.org></span><br><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma; font-weight:bold">Subject: </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma; font-weight:normal;">Re: [NSRCA-discussion] Honeywell generator question</span><br><br><div><font size="2" face="Arial">Not a Honeywell but what about that one?</font></div><div><font size="2" face="Arial"><a href="http://www.generatordepot.us/gentron-pro2-1200watt-generator-4stroke-california-model.aspx">http://www.generatordepot.us/gentron-pro2-1200watt-generator-4stroke-california-model.aspx</a></font></div><blockquote style="border-left-color:#000000;border-left-color:auto;border-left-style:solid;border-left-width:2px;margin-left:1px;margin-right:0px;padding-left:5px;padding-right:0px"><div style="FONT: 10pt arial">----- Original Message -----</div><div style="FONT: 10pt arial; BACKGROUND: #e4e4e4; font-color: black"><b>From:</b> <a title="aabdu@sbcglobal.net" href="mailto:aabdu@sbcglobal.net">Anthony Abdullah</a></div><div style="FONT: 10pt arial"><b>To:</b> <a title="nsrca-discussion@lists.nsrca.org" href="mailto:nsrca-discussion@lists.nsrca.org">General pattern discussion</a></div><div style="FONT: 10pt arial"><b>Sent:</b> Wednesday, December 23, 2009 9:44 AM</div><div style="FONT: 10pt arial"><b>Subject:</b> Re: [NSRCA-discussion] Honeywell generator question</div><div><br></div><div style="FONT-FAMILY: times new roman, new york, times, serif; FONT-SIZE: 12pt"><div>Jerry,</div><div>Funny you should mention that, I bought one brand new yesterday off of Ebay (kipor IG1000) for about half of what the Honda costs! The mower cost me over $700 and hasn’t been perfect. (The vehicles are what we all already know they are). But in this case, is it really necessary to spend more than double for the Honda 1000 ?
