<div>With a small hint by Chis Moon I got Dave and Reeves squared away.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>You select code 87 timer function.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>select down t (for down timer)</div>
<div>scroll to Start: select SPS0.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Now, what is SPS0? I stands for "stick position switch". This is a nice capability that allows you to turn stuff on and off with the stick position.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>To activate this SPS0, go to the System Mode (holding the ent while turning on the tx)</div>
<div>Scroll over to 91 (STK PosSw) and change INH to THRO. Its already set up to POS 0 on when stick is moved to high (turns on the timer when throttle is moved past half throttle). You can adjust anywhere on the stick you want the timer to start, but this is the default setup.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>No, go back to code 87. scroll down and set your time (default is 10 minutes).</div>
<div> </div>
<div>If you want the timer to start when you advance the throttle, and not pause when you move below half throttle (i.e., stay on all the time) then scroll down to "One Time: OFF" and select "OFF" to "ON". Now basically when you plug in your battery or if glow, when you start your motor, the timer won't activate until you go past half throttle (like engine run up or during takeoff). You will hear it beep and its starts counting down at that time, with
no other action required on the pilot's part. No more timer buttons to forget to press.</div>
<div> </div>

<br>
Yep Dave,<br>
<br>
I got you covered. Let me take care of some stuff this morning and I'll<br>
tell you exactly how to set it up. It can be setup two ways. First every<br>
time your throttle stick comes down below a certain point it can turn<br>
off. So it's like a power on timers for say electric. Or it can work as<br>
a one-time deal where the very first time you advance the throttle past<br>
a certain spot the timer starts and will keep going after regardless of<br>
throttle position. <br>
<br>
I also run two timers. One is a 8min sequence ti
me I start as the one<br>
time....throttle up. Before I start the motor I do the throttle up and<br>
start the timer. This is like a flown round under the time limit. Have<br>
to complete the last figure before the 8mins is up.<br>
<br>
Next is another timer that I start with another button, that tells when<br>
it is time to land for fuel.<br>
<br>
Works out really well on the 12X you can setup 2 totally independent<br>
timers, and have them activated the same way or differently and there<br>
are several options for the timers that were not included in previous JR<br>
radios.<br>
<br>
I'll let you know today and explain he timer functions.<br>

<br>
I'm having trouble figuring out how to use the 12X timer function like I<br>
want. I'd like a countdown alarm function to start the first time I<br>
advance to full throttle after turning on. Anyone know if this can be<br>
done and how to set it up?<br>
Thanks,<br>
Dave Burton.<br>
