I am not sure how the scoring program works with that. There are
always 10 maneuvers in the IMAC patterns so the same score sheets can
be used. Perhaps k factors are just manually entered for the unknowns
for each contest?
I also noticed a lot of looking down to the aresti sheets especially
for the unknowns. Having a scribe tell you the maneuvers would be
especially beneficial for unknowns. Most IMAC guys seem to read aresti
as well as they can read a written description although since some IMAC
maneuvers have many elements to them I think I would want to write my
own description for a scribe to read to me while judging.
Did you happen to find out how they deal with the scoring? If it is
national and everyone is using the same program maybe an update could
be available for the CD to download prior to the event?
One thing I noticed was a lot of judges with the aresti in one hand
and score sheet in the other while judging. Lots of looking away during
the flight. I looked over a few shoulder and would have put down some
similar numbers.
