(747) that did a Split-S and went through the mach--the Captain put the gear
out, and saved the plane by slowing it down. He lost the gear doors, and
each gear door tookof about 6 feet from each end of the horizontal
stabilizer. I saw the plane in SFO while it was being
repaired.</FONT></DIV>
