I did a fairly complex pattern on an open bay structure by first
piecing the monokote together with a 1/4 inch overlap or a little less
on a piece of clean glass. The iron was set warm but not enough to
really shrink. It worked quite well. I applied the whole wing top or
bottom as one piece.<br>

you guys out there has the answer. When covering a built up wing (ribs
and spars) with Monokote, how do you change colors over an open area?
Do
you tack the whole pattern together and then apply it as one sheet? Or
can you iron pieces together on the wing even though there is no balsa
to back
