Gaskets seem fine although I made sure everything was well tightened
this time around. Unfortunately I do not have any replacement gaskets
at this point to just replace them. The box did slide into the case
fairly easily. I guess the 2 red O rings could be worn.<br>

As far as Gary's suggestion on fuel. I think I have only been running
a standard cool power 15% on it. Would that account for 5 minutes of
normal running and then problems?<br>

I wonder if I can use the extra Trex 600 motor and 7 cell packs I have
for the heli :) That would solve these problems.<br>

well warmed up, run it up and get it at a higher RPM, and watch for any
sign of bubbles in the fuel lines.That is an indication of the extra
heat Ron mentioned from a bad bearing/tight bearing/shaft. Some AC's
really suffered from that problem. Also had a slightly bent shaft cause
heat in the front end. Might also check valve cover gasket/seal ( sand
the cover flat) since that could give similar symptoms after everything
gets warmed up. I assume you have already checked the box cover and
gaskets.</font></div>

Sure I just get upstairs after pulling the motor apart again and
swapping out the cylinder liner for one from another motor. Looked
almost new no burn marks but my son is getting frustrated with little
flying time each time at the field so I changed it just in case. Put
both motors back together reinstalled the motor in the plane. Found a
new muffler in the box, put that on. Only to find that I should have
changed the front bearing as well :)<br>
Can you be a little quicker next time Ron? :)<br>
If this doesn't work next time the bearing and anything else
suggested. Bearings feel fine though. Engine was really almost new.
Not even much carbon or varnish at the valves.<br>

The bearing heats up the front of the motor, then the regulator,
vaporizing the fuel. Better known as vapor lock.</div>

<div>Try a different pipe. I know a flyer who had this same
problem some years ago, not with an AC though. He tried everything and
the problem kept hounding him. Turned out that the pipe was plugging up
when it heated up and restricting the exhuast flow. </div>
