respond immediately to the exponential curve. That's exactly what you want.
What you're doing with expo is de-sensitizing the servo near the center
position, NOT slowing down its response. A "slow" servo will not respond quickly
to flight loads (it won't hold it's position even if you're not moving the
stick) and that's a bad thing. In any control system you want the most power
with the fastest response (this is the goal - you have to tradeoff one for the
other). If you think of expo as something that changes the "feel" or
"sensitivity" to your inputs and not the "speed" at which things happen, maybe
it will make more sense.</FONT></DIV>

think). It occurred to me that we spend $130 for a servo with a
.06 second transit time and then we program in 60 % expo. Somehow this
seems counter productive. I'm wondering if senility is rearing it's ugly head

the DS8417 in the elevator, very good if you like a fast elevator
