Pilot's Lament<BR><BR>The first contest of the season<BR>is but a month
away<BR>I have not flown yet this year<BR>and won't fly again today<BR><BR>The
yard needs cleaning<BR>the deck needs staining<BR>I did get it power
stripped<BR>but now it's raining<BR><BR>The new plane still waits in the
box<BR>I gaze in the workshop and feel a tear<BR>it looks like old faithful
will be my mount<BR>yet another year<BR><BR>But new thoughts sustain me<BR>I
have hope a new day will dawn<BR>and I will be flying once more<BR>instead of
mowing the lawn<BR><BR>I look forward to great times with great
friends<BR>discussing the the finer points of a roll<BR>a steak at the
Roadhouse, a beer and a laugh<BR>these things elevate the soul<BR><BR>To all
my friends in D4 and D5<BR>I hope to see you soon on the trail<BR>but I ask
you to be kind when I push the wrong stick<BR>and reveal it with my tail<BR>
