once with a piece of 5/32 music wire and a pair<BR>of vice grips.<BR>Sharpen
the end of the wire first.<BR>It gets a bit hard to push in after the first

using a tracer wire that <BR>would be installed along with the pipe, if it was
privately installed they <BR>probably didn't use a tracer wire in the
install.<BR><BR>If the pipe is PVC the best way would be to blow a wire
through the pipe and <BR>charge it with a signal, that signal is tracable with
the right equipment, <BR>such as the local utility uses.<BR><BR>I understand
many have used the dowsing method, but it doesn't work for

1-800 number any time we plan <BR>to dig they will locate and identify
all lines or utilities in the area and <BR>paint lines on the ground
with color codes and flags along the route of each. If <BR>we dig and damage
any underground pipes or wires without having these people <BR>locate them the
person digging and the property owner must pay for their <BR>repair or
replacement.<BR>Don't Dig in Texas unless u call. One company on our town
damaged a main <BR>fiber optics telephone trunk line and it cost them or
their insurance company <BR>$1,000,000.00 to replace it and shut down
phone service to the whole area.<BR>You might try calling the local gas
company and check to see if your area <BR>has such a service. Ours will
