<DIV>In our area we have an obligation to call an 1-800 number any time we plan
to dig they will locate and identify all lines or utilities in the area and
paint lines on the ground with color codes and flags along the route of each. If
we dig and damage any underground pipes or wires without having these people
locate them the person digging and the property owner must pay for their repair
or replacement.</DIV>
<DIV>Don't Dig in Texas unless u call. One company on our town damaged a main
fiber optics telephone trunk line and it cost them or their insurance company
$1,000,000.00 to replace it and shut down phone service to the whole area.</DIV>
<DIV>You might try calling the local gas company and check to see if your area
has such a service. Ours will check on all land public or private.</DIV>
