<DIV>Took a quick look at the P09 schedule and, at first glance, laughed
at the simplicity. It dawned on me that the WC gets about 100+ contestants,
all of whom need processing (read- prelim flying rounds). Then, the
simplicity makes perfect sense. But did they go a little overboard in dumbing
it down?? The team award is still awarded after the P is done so it probably
brings a bunch of teams into it who otherwise would not be. It will be
interesting to see what develops in two years, particularly Judging and
Scoring simple patterns.</DIV>

looks on paper. A lot of guys had some really great looking stuff, but
nobody had the pattern nailed yet. it flows VERY nice and the really cool
thing...even judging 10 pilots wasn't too bad! Because of the way they
shortened them up, it was about like judging intermediate as far as time
goes. The crosswinds were brutal and the box was an issue. The spin on the
end of the box was an issue as well for some. But it was great to see such a
turnout to get on with the new stuff! </FONT></DIV>
