front pulling it forward... Still an inappropriate analogy even if someone is
rowing the boat... The force applied by a crosswind is nowhere near the
force of thrust and its tendency to pull the tail back in line. I'm not saying
an airplane won't give the appearance of a slight angle into the wind, but
this only happens at very slow speeds (like those in a stall turn or on
landing approach), and still doesn't change the fact that the aiplane's track
is drifting the opposite direction.</FONT></DIV>
