Between this week i spent at Flat Rock Speedway they had a 24 hour race. Next weekend a Swap Meet and the following week reroofing my garage. Not to mention three weeks in Arizona for work a couple weeks previous. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But i digress. Not sure what digress means but it sound good. </DIV> <DIV>As far as the twenty four hour race. I am here to tell you the best five bucks i have ever spent. It was called the 24 hours of Lemons. obviously a spoof on the
24 hours of Lemans. Rules were no more than a 500 dollar car. They ran the road coarse that the go carts run at flat rock speedway. Came from all over the country to race. what a blast maybe a 1/4 mile road course so speeds maybe 50 55 mph so the crashes did'nt hurt to bad. in fact three cars rolled over and came back to continue racing and two of those finished the race. Finishing order. toyota supra, Mazda RX7 from car and driver magazine. Dodge neon, fourth try not to laugh. About a 1982 Chevy cavalier station wagon from california. Next don't quote me on this a toyota supra or maybe a celica could'nt tell not much of thebody left. next some kind of volvo. But perhaps the greatest was eighth place. some big and i mean big Pontiac station wagon entered by team morning wood. slow but steady. A ford escort led laps approx. 200 to 400 then burned out the clutch. So they went to auto zone bought a new clutch layed in the dirt spent the next 3 1/2 hours changing the
clutch. came out about 500 laps down and managed a fine 13th place finish. yes they were one of the cars that rolled over also. the lead car finished with over 2,400 laps. The race started about 40 cars and finished with about twenty still running.<BR>I am here to tell you if i have a choice between the twenty four hour race or a sure date with Christie Brinkley, Cindy Crawford, Cheryl Tiegs and Crystal Bernard No Choice i'd pick the Girls and bring them there to the race. Plenty of room in the grandstand i was the only one sitting there from about one int the morning till about five thirty in the morning. maybe i should switch persperent. maybe i should learn how to spell. Oh well will use Deodorant stick instead. </DIV> <DIV>Anyways back to the point this winter i hopefully will get it done. </DIV> <DIV>I suppose now that i've looked at 30 lines of type it would have been easier but nowhere near as entertaining to just say. No i just flew the Tojeiro.</DIV>

thanks for all your hard work. </DIV> <DIV> It was a real treat to see Andrew fly. He's pure talent and a nice guy too which is a rare combination. Great to meet Geoff Combs. He flew with almost no practice and its clear why he used to be the top flyer in the midwest and he still has the skills to be a threat. To bad he didn't place well due to engine problems.
