If a glow motor does not have the mixture just right, it can deadstick. With gas/ignition, it just doesn't run quite as well. We used the ZDZ 40 (non F3A version) hard mounted initially but after fluttering one aileron it was decided to install a custom made soft mount. The plane was 11 lbs 5-6 oz.
