5 and don't do anything stupid to burn them before they get hooked.

over the sky, but disciplined flying is tough. <SPAN

fly a straight line parallel to the runway.<SPAN

is alien.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Humpty's,
Top-Hats, Figure M, Cobra…you might as well talk Swahili.<SPAN

falling membership they need to educate the RC community at the ground
level. <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>At the Peoria RC
Modelers we are trying hard to promote pattern.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Most exciting, however, is a young
man from China (Jack Li) who joined our club. <SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Jack is 16 and practiced pattern
in China.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>This year he
competed in "Intermediate" at Hoffman Estates and won first place.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>His subsequent visit to the NATS
resulted in an Intermediate 2<SUP>nd</SUP> place.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Next year he will be competing at
the "Masters" level.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Our club
is taking a new look at Pattern and beginning to wake up.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>A recent club "Mini Pattern" event
had 10 competitors.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>Hopefully, we will build on this and get more people into serious
competition, but we really feel that education and emphasis on the
