I first flew an R/C airplane in 1954. It was a deBolt Kitten, powered by an Atwood .049 and with an ECE single channel receiver. I flew my first sucessful RC airplane with rudder only and escapment to boot in 1967. It was a Goldberg 1/2 Skylane that probably cost about $10. El cheapo super regen tx/rx. i would have loved an ACE system. Last year I bought a couple of orginal kits on Ebay for $75 to $85. I built one rudder only but electrified. rudder and motor control only. I really get a kick out of trying to fly it.
