world (F3A World Champs) is difficult – how do you compare 100+ flyers
over a range of weather conditions and how well can judges maintain a standard
over the course of 100 flyers? Ergo, a format which will “thin”
the group a bit…..and the addition of a more difficult sequence which
will provide more distinction/separation.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

F3A at the national level mimic the World Champs to give practice to the pilots

Trials, there is additional impetus to mimic the WC.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

classes at the US NATS, a finals format makes it easier to more directly
compare the top flyers. And with the limited timeframe for completing the
contest (resulting in the “matrix” system which does not have equal
exposure among pilots and judges), it is essential to have a finals where all
pilots have equal exposure.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

were on this. We know that Advanced is suppose to prepare you for
Masters, what if the advanced at the NATS took a similar route to what the
masters does; meaning that the top 8 guys in masters get to fly in a 4
round final. What if advanced had a 3 round final, and the best
score was carried over from the previous 4 rounds. I was thinking
that this would certainly make things a little more interesting for the
