<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> That's ridiculous. If I were the CD I
wouldn't have let anyone fly unless they were in the contest. I certainly
wouldn't have allowed 2 sets of frequency pins. Maybe this was difficult to do
because of the way the field was set up? Still, at every contest that I
ever went to that had a "contest frequency board" the CD made sure that ALL
the pins were in and then closed the field frequency board before starting the
contest and putting the contest board into action. I would talk to the CD about
this. The guy who shot you down had the pin. Technically he did nothing wrong.
The only problem was that there were 2 pins. This is a bad thing for everyone
but it looks like your plane is in pretty bad shape so someone should try to
help you out. What plane was this?</FONT></DIV>

today. On my second flight, I took off, turned downwind and realized I
was in serious trouble. The plane remained airborne for about a minute
before going straight in. The entire time I yelled “SHUT OFF 56!”
After the impact, I looked down the field to where two people were trying to
get a glow trainer running. I asked 56? And they replied “yes, we have
the pin.”<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>

One set for the event, and the club’s every-day pins. I had the event
pin, he had the other one. Apparently he showed up not knowing an event
was in progress. He asked the CD if he could go to the end of the field
and run up his engine. As I understand it, the CD allowed this without
explaining the frequency control in effect.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
